A Triumph All Her Own!

Praised Be Jesus, everyone!

I'm back: I had taken a long hiatus for a good while now trying to balance, work, parish life and a social life, and I hope now I'll be able to make more time to write. This week, we entered the month of October, which is the Month of Our Lady of the Rosary. Just yesterday, we commemorated the anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, signalling the end of the public apparitions of Our Lady there.

Much of the Fatima message centers around the conversion of sinners, and a renewed spirit of prayer and penance, but the main message speaks of the Triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart ("In the end, my Immaculate heart will triumph"), which is intrinsically connected with a renewed devotion to the Holy Rosary. What does it mean that Mary's heart will triumph? Many have speculated at what this triumph could be; many think it will be the great purification of those who have turned away from God, a bloody and prophetic cleansing that will leave the "faithful remnant" of God's Church.

Why would this triumph be connected with the recitation of the Rosary? It is because within the Holy Rosary, we find in miniature the whole message of the Gospel. It is the praying and meditation on the mystery of the Good News of Jesus Christ, and it is in the Rosary that we find the core of Our Lady's Heart. The Triumph of the Immaculate Heart truly is the Triumph of the Gospel. It is said in the Gospel of Luke that Mary kept all things in her heart concerning her son Jesus, so in truth, the whole of the Scripture was written on Mary's Heart, but even more than that, the Eternal word of God was made present and enfleshed in the very body of Mary.

What Mary desires more than anything is that her son be incarnated again in the world, that through each and every one Jesus is made present again, that the Gospel message be written on the hearts of each believer, writing written by a burning fire, a fire that will spread to the hearts of others, purifying this world, and bringing peace. No amount of violence can trump the crushing victory of the Gospel of Christ; the Violence of the Gospel is not the violence of the world, but the violence of a love that goes to all ends to bring all people to Christ Jesus. As we continue on in this Month of the Rosary, may we enter more deeply into the mystery of the Gospel as presented in the Rosary this "key" into Mary's heart, and let us allow that flame from Mary's heart, this Triumph of the Gospel of her son, to catch fire in our hearts, and purify the world.

IN THE END MY IMMACULATE HEART WILL TRIUMPH
AND THERE WILL BE PEACE

A Solemn Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfill the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of Your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to You, all the people of our country and all the world.

Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as You wish to accomplish Your designs in the world.

O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, Our King. Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully.

We come with confidence to You, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed Your own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes Your shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with your rule, triumph in every heart and home.

Amen.
